In Reception, reading books and phonic sounds are changed once a week. However, due to Covid home reading books will be quarantined for 72 hours before the books are redistributed again. Home reading books will be given out on a Monday and sent back into school for collection on a Thursday. (If you miss the Thursday collection day you will have to wait another week before we change your child's book)

Each half term 'Learning Projects' are sent home which provide parents with a selection of activities that they can do with their children at home.

October homeworK:

We have been learning the following tricky words: the, to, I, no, go, into. Please use the flashcards to help your child remember these words. They have to be learnt from memory so you can't sound these words out. Just look at the word and memorise it. Have fun hiding tricky words around your house and can you spot which ones have moved?

Don't forget to look on Education City for the new phonics homework. (Login and passwords are inside your child's Reading diary books.)
