Summer Reading Challenge 2018

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year and is a national scheme produced by The Reading Agency delivered by libraries. Each year there is a new theme and this year libraries everywhere were celebrating around the theme of Mischief Makers in celebration of The Beano's 80th anniversary.

The challenge was for all children aged 4 to 12 years with the aim being to borrow and read six books between Saturday 23 June and Saturday 22 September 2018.

We are very pleased to announce that The Vaynor came second out of all of the schools in Redditch.  A special mention to Daniel in 2LS who completed the challenge and was able to read a staggering 36 books in 6 weeks.  We were delighted to welcome librarians from Reddicth library who presented the children who completed the challenge with a certificate and a medal.
