Welcome to Year 2!

The classes within our Year Group this year are: Miss Phipps 2HP, Mrs Easden 2NE and 2CG with Miss Goddard.

Hello, and welcome to Year 2! We are the second year group in Key Stage One. As with the other year groups, life in Year 2 is extremely busy, where we are always on the go and learning lots of new skills. It is a great place to be!

WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN TERM!

We are all very excited about being back after our summer break, and our topic for Autumn 2025 is:

Vaynor or Victorian?

We will be starting our journey by learning specifically about Queen Victoria and her reign over the British Empire. We will be looking at her family tree to make connections to our royal family now, and also the significance of her time in power. Using this information, we will be looking at Victorian childhood, and the difference between the lives of the rich and poor. School life (if people could afford it), was very different, and we're also going to see how it changed over this time period too! Finally, we're going to decide if we would rather be a Victorian child or a Vaynor child.
