Welcome to Year 2!

The classes within our Year Group this year are: Miss Phipps 2HP, Miss Robbins 2HR and 2CG with Miss Goddard.

Hello, and welcome to Year 2! We are the second year group in Key Stage One. As with the other year groups, life in Year 2 is extremely busy, where we are always on the go and learning lots of new skills. It is a great place to be!

WELCOME TO THE SUMMER TERM!

We are all very excited about being back after our Easter break, and our topic for Summer 2026 is:

The Great Explorers!

We will be using Science, History and Geography to help us think about two very important questions. First, in Science, we are going to be looking at animals and their habitats. We're also hoping to have a visit from 'Wild Science' where the children can see some animals up close and personal. Can every animal survive in every habitat? I'm sure we'll find the answer...

Geography and History will help learning alongside Science. We are going to be finding out about a significant person, Charles Darwin, and the journey he took to the Galápagos Islands. What did he find there? Why did this journey change Science forever?
