At The Vaynor First School, we want every child to develop the skills, attitudes and confidence they need to become successful, lifelong learners. Our 8 Superpowers of a Great Learner help children understand what great learning looks like and encourage them to take an active role in their own learning.

Throughout their time at Vaynor, children are encouraged to be Challenge Takers, Resilient, Motivated, Inquisitive, Creative, Confident, Independent and Empathetic. These superpowers are woven into everyday learning and help children to embrace challenges, persevere when things are difficult, ask questions, think creatively, believe in themselves and support others.

By recognising and celebrating these superpowers, we help our children understand that being a great learner isn't just about what you know – it's also about how you learn.
