Welcome to Year 4

In Year 4 the teachers are Miss Joshi in 4KJ, Mrs Williams in 4DW and Mrs Barton in 4KB. The classes are supported by Mrs Green, Mrs Close, Mrs Deavs and Miss Traves.

Topic: World War II

This term we are learning about the impact World War II had on children at the time. What was it like to be an evacuee? Where did children evacuate to? 

We are studying Friend or Foe in English which will support our understanding of evacuees and enable us to empathise with how children would feel.

In Geography, we are exploring maps of Europe to understand the position of Germany in relation to other countries which were involved in the war.

Science: electricity

In science this term, we are learning all about electrical circuits. Our practical lessons will be used to experiment with electrical components to make complete circuits and explore how switches work.
