Mrs Sue Foster-Agg -Headteacher

I was thrilled when, in April 2005, I became the Headteacher of The Vaynor as it is my local school and the one that successfully helped my three children on their road to adulthood.  I am now in the fortunate position of being able to help shape the lives of other generations of children in my community with the support of a super staff!

My passion in education is that children should be engaged in a curriculum which excites them in learning about their world.  A world which seems to be growing ever smaller as communication gets faster and faster.  I feel that the children of today will truly be world citizens, working through technology with any place in the world .  Thus, our curriculum is called 'The International Curriculum' and it embeds an international perspective in all that we do through the study of traditional subjects,

.  This provides an interesting curriculum for children and adults alike - and what's more, learning at The Vaynor is fun!

My other passion is my family. I have been happily married for many years and am a proud mother of three.  My daughter has followed me into the profession is teaching Year 2 in Handsworth, whilst her partner is teaching key skills to young people who find learning more challenging. Her twin brother also works in Birmingham as a teacher, but of Maths in a secondary school.  My youngest son is a manager in Redditch and he and his partner have produced 3 beautiful boys, making me a proud Grandma.  My oldest Grandson is very cute and cheeky, with a super sense of fun whilst his twin brothers are just forming their own characters, being born this summer. They are the centre of all our lives - and I wouldn't change it at all!  In my spare time I love to travel, read and play Sudoku (I also love listening to children's jokes!) My busy life is fun but tiring!
