Recently, some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils took part in a sewing project with pupils from Crabbs Cross Academy and Walkwood Middle School. Each school researched a particular time period in the history of Redditch, pupils then each created a piece of sewing work using this time period as inspiration. As part of our research we visited Forge Mill Needle Museum, learning about the process and companies making needles during this time, the life of the people in the town and also how the town was growing because of the industry. Each school has displayed their work on a banner and all banners are now on display at The Forge Mill Needle Museum. After half term, they will tour the three schools and then return to their home school to go on display.
