Jo Downing

Hi I'm Jo, I came to The Vaynor in April 2014 to lead the Early Years and co-ordinate English across the school. I enjoy going on bike rides in my spare time and keeping fit with my two young children. I enjoy observing the children and watching them become independent learners.

Jo Merrick

Jo is a dedicated Teaching Assistant and also a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. She works in Reception with Jo in RJD and in Year One to cover a class. Jo is a very talented artist and enjoys creating colourful displays in the Foundation Stage unit.

Christina Collett

Hello, I’m Christina and I joined the team at The Vaynor in September 2015. I am proud to be working within a fun, caring and hard-working school team.

I love animals and also being outdoors. I have a cat called Simba and a tortoise called Rocky. In my spare time I enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Yvonne Hardacre

Yvonne works alongside Christina in RCC on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She enjoys taking the children outside to learn in the environment around them. Children love to explore their world in the fresh air and this is an approach all Reception classes use (and other classes too!). In her spare time Yvonne enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Tina Gittins

Tina also works in RCC on a Thursday and a Friday. She spends Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, working with small groups of children across the Reception classes to support them with their learning.

Emma Green

Emma works one on one with children in Reception. She has 2 children and in her spare time she likes spending time with her family, watching films and relaxing.

       Charlotte Deacon

Hello, I'm Charlotte and I've been teaching for 10 years.  I have recently had a little boy of my own and I am currently on maternity leave.

In my spare time I love to be with my husband Nick and our crazy cats Donald and Boggle as well as visiting my family in Nottingham. I also love to read books-my favourites are the Harry Potter series and I was lucky enough to visit the Warner studio this summer. It was truly amazing!
