Up Reception Y1 Circus Arts Week

What's New?

Links across the World.

Can Parents Help us?

Each of our year groups is this year linked to a country.

Year1 is linked to India,  Year 2 to Spain, Year 3 to Kenya and Year 4 to Australia.  They are each trying to establish links with schools within these countries to share learning across the cultures.  Can you help us? Do you know of any schools we can link to through your families and friends?

Year R are going to look at a little of all the above places, plus China so they will have a tour around the world in their first eyar with us....

School is also looking for a link with a school in a different part of our country, this could be the middle of a city or by the seaside.  Can any parents help here also?

Watch out for Arts Week 2010.  This is on the theme 'Learning from an International perspective' - early plans include lots of work in Geography, and Art, Dance and storytelling from across the cultures.  If any parents can help please see their class teacher.  In the meantime look at the photos below for information about last year's Art's week.

In February 2009 all the school took part in an Arts Week (well, over a week and a half as the snow got in the way!).  The theme of the week was 'What does it mean to be British'. The children learned a lot, assisted by their parents.  To see some of the work in action follow this link.... Arts Week February 2009

Mrs Dunstan and Mrs Foster-Agg had fun at Christmas!

Mrs Dunstan was Mother Christmas and Mrs Foster-Agg was 'Waking and Shaking!' (ably assisted by Miss Parry and Mrs Owens).

Parents shared books with children in National Book Week

They and the children all seem to have had fun judging by the photographs - Thank you to all who helped.  There are more pictures on the Reception pages.
